Soviet Union is the Union of 17 Communist States known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic or USSR, founded in 1921 , it was dissolved in 1991 with a lifespan of more than 7 decades.
Why was USA against the USSR after 1945?
After the success of Second world war, both allies USA & USSR emerged as two Superpowers defeating the Axis Group consisting mainly of Germany and Japan. Both the superpowers claimed themselves to be the strongest which resulted as Cold War.
What incident occurred during Cold War?
The partition of Korea after the leave of Japan, Vietnam war, Insurgency in Nepal, Partition of German mainland, communism in China, spread of terrorism, Afghan Insurgency, Cuba War Tension and other wars were some of the incidents occured during the Cold War.

After the 80's Afghan War and so other Economic Crisis, the Soviet Union was dissolved leaving the World II broken and the Cold War concluded as victory of the United States. Indeed, now China is the largest communist nation in the world surpassing the People's Republic of Korea which may lead to a new war between the US and PRC.

Officialy known as the United States of America, US is the 4th largest nation of the World in terms of Land Area, 3rd biggest in terms of Population and the having a GDP of $20.94 Trillion (2019), it is the largest Economy in the World. Founded by George Washington, USA has the largest military in the World . Currently, it's military budget is more than $750 Billion which is half the GDP of Russia.
Its Capital City is located in Washington District of Colombia in Eastern US. It has a quite great GDP per capita of estimated $63,543 (2020). One of the world's most popular city, New York is located here.
